Thanksgiving Words 2013
Written by: Marcela Richardson
Good day friends of MPC community. What a beautiful day to be with all the people who have contributed to the MPC. It is truly my pleasure that I have been granted this opportunity to voice the thoughts of my colleagues.
The idea of this lunch is to demonstrate our gratitude towards each one of you for sharing your unique vision of the world with us and for planting a sense of curiosity within us by sharing your knowledge and passion in the particular things you do. Thanks to you that I and my peers have discovered new ideas and we have started making connections between many ways of thinking about the world. Little by little we have been constructing our own vision, which will guide us in the future to take the best decisions to become life long learners, and to participate in the ongoing conversations both publically and individually
Maybe some of you are thinking you just helped us once, or shared a brief moment with us. But it was enough to contribute to our learning process as well as to the success of MPC. We have this joy of being here and connect once again with others. We believe in the potential we have as human beings, where we are discovering who we are and what reality is. You have been an essential piece in the journey of our learning process.
Today is also a great day to be grateful for all of our ancestors that have contributed along the history of humanity, which we have had the opportunity to study such as Newton, Darwin, and Aristotle who have shaped the world view we have today.
Take a moment to look around you and notice the beauty of your surroundings, new faces, probably old friends, and potential entrepreneurs. The reason we are here in this place reunited IS NOT coincidence, it is because we share the passion for learning authentically. The MPC has brought us together. It is a home for new discoveries and thousands of connections. As our ancestors have left a footprint in the world though their ideas were once thought crazy, I am certain that we all here will see the beauty even in the smallest details in life, leaving our mark where humanity needs it the most. So please, enjoy and be grateful, for all we have, is this moment.
